There comes a moment in every fashion lover’s life when you stop asking “what’s trending?” and start asking “what feels like me?”

I’ll be honest, for years I let fashion trends tell me what I should wear. If something made me look slimmer, if it was the “it-girl” piece of the season, I would buy it. And then it would sit in my closet, barely worn, taunting me every time I opened the door.

But something shifted when I entered my 30s. Somewhere between quitting my day job to follow my music dream, stepping onto national TV in Belgium, and really stepping into my own story, I realised my wardrobe needed to follow suit.

Now, I don’t shop for trends. I shop for me.

Fashion isn’t just about what’s on the runway, it’s about how you feel in your everyday life. Does this piece make you feel powerful? Comfortable? Beautiful? Like the version of yourself you want to present to the world?

Here’s a little example from this past week: I tried on a gorgeous pair of cowboy boots. They were stunning, they made my legs look amazing, and they would have matched with so many things in my closet. But they had a heel, and let’s be real, I walk a lot. Spending over €500 on something that would end up living at the back of my closet just didn’t make sense.

So instead, I went back to my tried-and-true signature pieces, my blazers, my fun scarves, and outfits that feel like a hug every time I put them on.

This is your reminder to dress for yourself, not the algorithm. Build your wardrobe with pieces that let you move through life like the main character you are, confidently, authentically, and without compromise.

Here are some of my favourite outfits from this past month as the chill started creeping in 🍂🖤 cozy, chic, and 100% me.
