There’s one topic that has always been a hot button in every glossy magazine spread, every red carpet interview, and every late-night scroll through Instagram, and yet, somehow, it still doesn’t get the representation it deserves: accepting your body.
At 30, I’ve learned that my body is not a fixed moment in time. It’s a living, breathing, ever-changing masterpiece. From being diagnosed with coeliac disease to battling hormonal imbalances, my weight has fluctuated like the stock market. Some seasons I was starving myself. Other seasons I was hitting the gym for three hours straight, desperately chasing a version of myself I thought would finally make me happy.
But here’s the plot twist no one told me: when I was at my “skinniest,” I wasn’t happy at all.
The truth? Obsessing over my weight and trying to keep up with the constantly shifting beauty standards was exhausting. It was a full-time job, and it paid me nothing but insecurity. Only now do I understand the real secret: listen to your body, love yourself, and appreciate that you are capable of extraordinary things, no matter what the number on the scale says.
This is why I write songs about empowerment and why I share my journey here with you. Because I want every woman reading this to step into her main character era. We are all leading ladies, we are all works of art, and we are all deserving of feeling fabulous in our own skin.
So here’s your homework: tonight, stand in front of your mirror, give yourself a cheeky wink, and say out loud:✨ “Hey sexy, you look fabulous.”
And then? Go out and rule the world, because you were never meant to blend in.
